The highlights of the historic brewery are their self-brewed beers “Rixdorfer Hell”, a larger and the “Rixdorfer Dunkel”, which is brown ale. Also, they offer beer for each season so one will find “Märzen” in March, the “Maibock” in May and the popular summer beer in June and July. But also in the colder months of the year the Brauhaus Rixdorf offers its beer-fans special self-brewed beer like winter beer and Christmas beer.
The kitchen serves traditional German food for example the delicious ham hock, pork hock and on Sundays one can get a huge schnitzel. The ambience is authentic, a little old-school maybe and rustic with small details and paintings on the walls. The building, a spacious mansion that was built in 1885, is put under a preservation order.
If the weather is good one can enjoy the beautiful beer garden in the backyard on the mansion, which quickly became a favorite spot of many locals. Anyone who wants to know more about the Rixdorfer beer can book brewing classes and learns how the brewing procedure is done.
