The brewery in Berlin-Spandau combines a traditional Berlin pub with beer garden and hotel as well as an on-site brewery. The building itself is pretty interesting. The red-bricked building was built in 1890 and carefully restored.
These days they passionately spend time brewing beer here. The most famous brew of the house is “Spandauer Havelbräu” which you can taste throughout the whole year. Additionally each month has its very own brewed beer. In March it is Märzen, in August you can try a nice summer beer and in December it is a special Christmas beer.
In the middle of the restaurant you can see several coppery cauldrons – not for decoration purposed only as they are actually still used for the making of. If you want to, you can book a tour to learn more about the brewing of beer or even book a brewing class. At the restaurant you can order traditional German food along with your beer. During summer the beer garden invites you to sit outsides in the sun.
