At Wahrhaft Nahrhaft – located directly in the popular nightlife quarter of Berlin-Friedrichshain – you might get the impression that you just entered a life-sized dollhouse – mashed up with some hipster elements that just belong here.
Entering the café you will first see the counter where you can get a look on all the yummy dishes like cake and bagels. If you turn to the right, you will get to see the true beauty of this deli. The different corners are a mix of widely collected living room furniture. The plastering comes off the walls, pompous frames, deer antlers and pink cuckoo clocks do the rest.
The menu offers a wide range of different snacks. The bagels got pretty creative fillings and there is a wide choice of dishes for vegetarians and vegans. Vegan dishes are marked as such and if you can you should try the homemade seitan on your bagel. Besides the bagels you can also try other goods like pasta salad, Bircher muesli and cake.
The espresso at Wahrhaft Nahrhaft is worth a mention as well and if you always wanted to try a matcha latte – go ahead! Good thing is: All drinks can be served with soy milk.
There are also a couple of seating options in front of the restaurant from where you can see the RAW area – which is a popular ground for street food markets, clubs and bars.
