We’ll admit: The Habba Habba is not your average falafel storer, but this is exactly why the tiny business at Kastanienallee in Prenzlauer Berg stands out.
Surrounded by many other restaurants on the promenade it’s easy to overlook the Habba Habba. The entry is a couple of feet above the sidewalk. A staircase will lead you to the small terrace, which offers room for a couple of tables with benches, and into the inside. It’s a tiny space, but it satisfies with its tasty and rather extraordinary menu and the good quality of the products. Spices and fresh herbs like coriander and mint make for the taste.
The sesame falafel is served as a wrap with an aromatic Tahina yogurt sauce, as a falafel salad with vegetables and herbs, pine nuts, almonds and peanuts, pomegranate dressing and Tahina yogurt sauce or in combinations with other fresh dishes.
Additionally to the meals you get a nice selection of drinks. We’d love to recommend the hot tea with fresh mint and ginger or the homemade lemonade.
If you’re lucky enough, you’ll get one of the few places outside on the terrace. Because of its height, you’ll get the chance to overlook the lively area from a nice spot.
Top10 tip: Order some extra mint yogurt sauce to your falafel wrap – tastes like a dream come true!
