The small Hofcafé at Mother Fourage is a popular place in Berlin-Wannsee for breakfast on the greened, almost hundred year old courtyard. The guests sit in an idyllic yard with cobble stones amongst blossoming flowers and Italian terracotta. The fragrant flowers add to the scent of fresh coffee and warm cakes to an unbelievable aroma.
The location used to be a store for cattle fodder (fourage). Today “Mutter Fourage” is a venue for cultural events with culture barn, picture frame workshop, nursery and its small farm shop “Feine Kost”.
Where cattle fodder (Fourage) used to be sold, today it is the “Mutter Fourage” cultural enterprise with culture barn, picture frame workshop, nursery and the small farm shop “Feine Kost”. At cultural events, a glass of wine and a few snacks were served, which gave rise to the idea of opening a small café.
The Hofcafé works predominantly with regional products from organic farming. The breakfast in the Hofcafé, which is offered daily until 2 pm, is known for its great quality and absolutely affordable price. The smallest breakfast “C’est la vie” is already available for just under 4.00 euros, there are also large breakfast variations with salmon, ham or even a vegan breakfast, always with fresh rolls and light and dark bread. Mother Fourage also offers a light lunch and coffee and homemade cakes.
Tip from the Top10 Berlin team: enjoy breakfast in the café and then stock up with balcony plants and delicacies for your home in the in-house nursery or in the farm shop.
