Despite the abundance of good restaurants on Torstraße, the small restaurant claims its regional, fresh and handmade cuisine as well as a family service. The restaurant Friedel Richter is bright and friendly furnished, purist with a large window front and the stone floor, green cushioned chairs, a wooden counter and open kitchen. In the summer you can also sit outside.
The menu of the restaurant changes daily and is presented to guests on a former airport display panel. The menu includes dishes like cold gherkin soup with homemade pickles, grilled beef tartar, homemade salmon, brioche burgers, beef roulades with celery puree and labskaus with matjes – creatively presented. For dessert, chocolate sablé with milk parfait or frozen mousse au chocolat with strawberries and rhubarb are served.
The chefs cook with fresh ingredients and herbs, cultivated in the restaurant itself. On the drinks menu, among other, you can find handcrafted beer. At noon a special lunch menu is offered at Friedel Richter with refined sandwiches, a small soup and salad and changing daily dishes. The restaurant Friedel Richter also always offers special menus on special occasions such as the Berlin Restaurant Week or World Cup football matches.
