Mutter Lustig

Mutter Lustig is one of Berlin’s most popular day trip destinations by the water. Located in Berlin-Köpenick it offers enough space and a big, sunny terrace fits about 80 people and invites you to coffee, cake and homemade food.

The restaurant was opened in 2014 and turns out to be not only a hot spot for tourists but also for locals who like enjoying some time by the water with the sun in their face. If it gets a little colder you can also sit inside. The huge and wide window front still gives you a great view and brightens up the whole location.

Besides cakes and tartes you can also enjoy snacks such as Panini sandwiches, salads and soups. At the weekends you can also indulge in a tasty and rich breakfast at Mutter Lustig.

One of the best parts of Mutter Lustig is probably the wharf right by the location and the in-house boat rental. Pedal boats, a small pontoon boat and two comfy house boats are just waiting for you to challenge your inner captain.
