The Michelin-starred restaurant of Markus Semmler is an event restaurant nowadays and only opens for groups of 10 or more.
Markus Semmler was named “Berliner Meisterkoch” (Berlin Master Chef) by the Michelin Guide in 1998 and again in 2016. The Gault Millau awarded Markus Semmler with the title “Restaurateur of the Year” in 2010. In his restaurant, Markus Semmler is not only the host and name giver, most of the time he is swinging the cooking spoon himself and delights his guests not only with his exclusive starred kitchen but also with his hands-on mentality.
Only one menu is served in the restaurant. The guests can decide on the number of courses. Various incompatibilities are still taken into account. The quality of the dishes is of high standard and the wine accompaniment perfectly matches each course.
The dining room is quite large whereas a separate cigar lounge exudes cosiness. The guests especially appreciate the eye-catching presence of Markus Semmler.
Since the restaurant is now only an event restaurant, it opens otherwise only on very special culinary theme evenings.
