Located at Alexanderplatz in Berlin-Mitte The Reed scores with a direct view to the famous TV tower, live DJ music, a tasty buffet as well as coffee, teas, and as much prosecco as you want for their Sunday brunch, every Sunday from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm. The brunch buffet is a mix of mostly healthy and also international dishes such as chickpea salad or wakame. But don’t worry – for everyone with a sweet tooth there is also a selection of cake and fresh waffles.
The wide glass front on the first floor, where the restaurant’s guest room is located, offers a perfect view of the TV Tower, but that’s not the only highlight guests can expect from the location. The ambience comes from a mix of different shapes, colors and fabrics. A huge curved LED wall is part of the extraordinary urban art design concept. At the ground floor of The Reed you can find a separate bar with smoothies, shakes and coffee variations, but the selection here is not included in the brunch menu.
The Reed’s special mix of food, drinks, design and music is all part of the John Reed company with their fitness and lifestyle club boutiques. The Reed is supposed to be the new community space in Berlin. Most guests won’t even notice that behind a round door, which perfectly blends in in the design of the restaurant, is a hidden workout room for John’s Bootcamp – a new full body training, which aims that participants burn about 1,000 calories during the 60 minutes workout. Good thing is: You don’t have to be a member at John Reed to either visit the The Reed restaurant or book a class for John’s Bootcamp.
