The owner of the small bodega lived at the Costa Blanca for a few years. When she returned to Berlin, she decided to take a piece of the Spanish food culture with her and opened La Plaza at Karl-August-Platz in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
Since then La Plaza serves daily changing tapas and a permanent menu. This includes classics like Ensalada de Huevos (egg salad), breaded squid rings, Gambas al Aja (peeled prawns in oil and garlic) or tortilla espanola (Spanish omelet). What should not be missed is a good glass of wine with your food. At La Plaza you can choose from 60 different sorts, most of them coming directly from Spain. To round off your delicious meal, we recommend ordering the excellent espresso, which is imported from Spain as well.
