Simple wooden tables, white old-fashioned kitchen chairs and colourful cushions – this is what the bright rooms of the tea house Nannuoshan in the Heckmann Höfe in Berlin-Mitte look like. Nannuoshan is tea house, tea shop and tea salon at the same time. It is centrally located on Oranienburger Straße in Berlin-Mitte, but you don’t notice much of the hustle and bustle outside, as the tea house is located in a quiet courtyard.
The operators wanted to create a cosy and friendly place where you can enjoy the handpicked teas and the delicious cake specialities, but where you are also able to buy the tasted tea and take it home.
In the tea salon the guest can choose between the usual European way of infusion in a teapot or in Gongfu Cha style, this is a special kind of infusion from China. There are over fifty types of tea on offer, which you can drink in the tea house or buy in the tea store. The shop also has nice teaware.
If you are interested in learning more about Chinese tea culture and tea, you can also attend tea seminars at Nannuoshan.
