Café Morena at Spreewaldplatz in Kreuzberg is well-known in the neighborhood and a popular meeting point on weekends. Café Morena exists for 40 years already. This long period is rather untypical for a café in the so dynamically changing Berlin. Café Morena therefor is a real exception and its food menu is refreshingly reliable. Café Morena is the place to meet at no matter what time of the day, for sitting outside on the sunny terrace and eating the broad breakfast menu up and down. Time pressure is not an issue. Inside the café the mosaic wall tiles are a real eye-catcher. They were originally brought from a Moroccan palace. At the bar in the middle of the room visitors take a seat on barstools. Around there are simple wooden tables and chairs. The atmosphere is pleasantly unexcited.

The offer is very wide and ranges from the continental breakfast to Spanish, Italian, Turkish or American variations. After the long Kreuzberg party nights a hangover breakfast with 2 half rolls with Rollmops (pickled herring) is served. Café Morena also offers lots of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The organic coffee and organic tea are delicious and healthy. Besides the breakfast Café Morena offers daily specials, giant burgers and sandwiches.
