Opened in October 2014, Martha’s has quickly gained a culinary reputation in the creative scene of Berlin. The chef working the kitched here is a young rising start, Manuel Schmuck, who learned his trade in the award-winning restaurant Reinstoff.
The outcome are compositions which are unusual but finely tuned at the same time like duck sashimi with champignons and watercress, home-made noodles with stewed ox cheek, oyster mushrooms, veggies and a poached organic egg or tempura cod with potato salad, horse radish, wild herbs and Nori remoulade.
Your taste buds will tingle with the dessert, for example a slice of chocolate-peatnut pie with sour cream ice cream or a salad of pears with cardamom – delicious!
If you want to eat at Martha’s, you can either choose a menu or 3 or 5 courses or eat à la carte. At the later hours, you repair to the leather-lined bar to enjoy the night with cocktails.
By the way: guests that just want to have a drink without eating there are equally welcome!
