If you like alpine food and look on Valentine’s Day for a down-to-earth but still chic restaurant, then the Alpenstück in Mitte will be the perfect the place for you. On Valentine’s Day, the Austrian restaurant, which has been awarded the “Bib Gourmand” of the Guide Michelin several times, offers a special Valentine menu with three or four courses. All dishes are homemade daily and are made from natural ingredients. The products come from selected farms in the surrounding area.
Fine smoked fish soup with cress and caviar sour cream is served as a starter. Afterwards there is a fried cauliflower terrine with spicy pumpkin and marinated lamb’s lettuce. The main course presents the best of the local veal, roasted pink back and braised cheeks with winter vegetables and mashed potatoes and chives. For dessert, the Valentine love birds will be are pampered with curd nougat dumplings with plum roaster.
On Valentine’s Day, the festive dinner will be served in the alpine restaurant with fresh floral decorations.
