Not far from Wilmersdorfer Strasse in Berlin-Charlottenburg one can find the vegan restaurant Vegan Snackbar, owned by the cookbook author Attila Hildmann. The restaurant serves delicious burgers and other fast-food inspired dishes made from superfoods and fresh organic ingredients. The burger rolls, for example, are made from spelled flour and the burger patties are made from chickpeas or beans.
At the Vegan Snackbar, however, the traditional dishes on the menu are prepared in an unusual way. For example, on the menu you can find a sushi burger, which consists of breaded eggplant, wasabi-mayonnaise, pineapple and mushrooms as well as rice and nori leaves. But also the Popeye Burger with spinach almond cream and an apple and cinnamon chutney is served with beetroot chips and convinces especially the gourmet fans. The menu also offers vegan Currywurst, a vegan hot dog, apple strudel or soft ice cream with different toppings.
The Vegan Snackbar is a small restaurant and kept in modern grey colors. Thanks to the extraordinary menu and the reputation of its owner Attila Hildmann, the Vegan Snackbar is always busy.
