Located at the dead end of Dresdener Straße close to Kottbusser Tor you’ll find the wine bar ottorink. Even though it’s a very lively neighborhood, the area around ottorink is rather quiet and idyllic.
The slate walls at ottorink give an overview of the daily offers as well as some wisdom quotes. The wine bar offers mostly German and French wines, but often enough it has some special wines from countries like Chile, Australia or South Africa. The German wines are from areas the river Moselle like Palatinate, Rhine-Hesse and Baden.
The furniture is of dark wood, the ambience very hip but comfy. The staff works very customer-oriented. If you’re not too familiar with wine you’ll get an extensive but friendly and down-to-earth introduction in wine. The staff’s love for a good vino is almost infections, and you get to taste a couple of wines before you pick one that’s good enough for your likes.
The wine bar also offers some small snacks – most of the cold though. Cheese and olives are just some of them, but one of the classics at ottorink is the typical “Brotzeit” with original Palatine liver sausage.
In summer you’ll find some tables in front of the bar to sit outsides in the street and enjoy some heavenly good wines.
