Schmidt Z & Ko stands for a wide range of good wine. The company offers over 500 different wines from Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. In the associated wine bar and restaurant, the well-filled wine shelf is also the wine list. The guest chooses his favourite bottle wine from the stock of the wine shop. The wine chosen will be served to him with the meal.
Those who feel like tasting different wines can also choose from a selection of open wines that change daily in the wine bar. In the restaurant you can also order a suitable wine accompaniment with your meal. The range of food on offer goes well beyond the usual small snacks served with wine. If you have enough leisure time, you can enjoy a 4 or even 6-course menu here, of course with the matching wines. Those who prefer just a snack with their wine can order a cheese or a snack platter with sausage and cheese from the counter.
The ambience is cosy, but stylish with a modern design. An original detail: The oak tables and chairs of the wine bar come from original barrique barrels of local wineries. A secret tip is Schmidt Z & Ko’s homemade bread, accompanied by a homemade dip, to go with your glass of wine. In summer you can also enjoy your wine in the open air, either on the Rheinstraße terrace or in the listed Goerz courtyards.
