The positive atmosphere at the Berlin bouldering hall Berta Block in Pankow has to be mentioned, which makes it easy for children and adults to climb the colorful nubs. Unlike conventional climbing halls, bouldering does not use any fuse technology. For this, the climbing elements and walls are usually much lower and the halls are covered with thick mats almost everywhere.
Climbing training is offered here for children in two age groups (6 to 10 years and 10 to 14 years). Children learn about the basic climbing techniques. First of all children can develop a feeling for the climbing at an entrance wall for children’s climbing. If the children are already advanced climbers, Berta Block also offers technology workshops for the older ones.
The climbing routes in levels from beginner to professional are marked in different colors. The lightest tours are marked by yellow colors, blue is already somewhat more difficult, increased by green, red and grey. The individual halls also represent different professional levels, so that younger children for example are only allowed to use the first hall. For ambitious climbers, a special training area is available. Four free-standing climbing obstacles signify challenges for all those who are able to climb on overhanging walls.
If you do not really trust yourself and first want to try out bouldering, you can also book an introduction course at Berta Block.
