From fashion studio to research workshop and to the dance and sports room: Die gelbe Villa (the yellow villa) in Kreuzberg provides a variety of creative activities for children and young people. In 2018, the creative and educational centre for children and young people was awarded for particularly successful work with children and young people in the natural sciences sector. Research-based learning in the natural sciences is promoted here. To ensure that all children have access to such an offer, the yellow villa is free of charge.
From Tuesday to Friday, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., there is always an open program and many workshops take place in the yellow villa. The Monday afternoon is reserved for school classes and after-school groups. Children and young people must register for the workshops. Here you can work creatively with clay, dance, paint, sew, make music or do handicrafts. Also during the Berlin school holidays the team of the yellow villa thinks up a free, versatile holiday program with many different workshops and excursions to exciting places in Berlin.
The yellow villa is a creative and educational centre for children and young people in Kreuzberg. The villa is committed to equal rights in times of growing social inequality. Through the projects, the children should gain self-confidence and strengthen their potential, no matter where they come from.
