The café Rudimarie is actually located on the opposite street side of the playground on Weichselplatz in Berlin-Neukölln, but in summer they just put up a couple of tables and chairs under a couple of trees next to the playground. That way parents can easily keep an eye on their offspring while enjoying some coffee variations, a rich breakfast, soups, cake, fruit salad, quiche or fresh waffles with apple pureé. You can also find the basic but traditional Berlin Stulle on the menu – a slice of bread with various toppings.
This large public playground is superbly equipped with a variety of gadgets like a zip line, a water pump, various slides and climbing towers, skating hills, a football pitch and ping pong tables. If the weather is not that enjoyable children can play at the kids corner inside the café. Here they will find various toys, books as well as pens and coloring books. Parents can skip through newspapers and magazines.
