Domäne Dahlem

The domain Dahlem is an open-air museum for agricultural and food history. Education on these subjects ranks high here. Children can not only experience the farmers’ farms, but also plant beds, plant herbs, plant a greenhouse and even admire real tractors at work. Kids here can not only get a hands-on experience with the animals, they can also have their own veggie patch, sow herb, start their own greenhouse and see real tractors at work. KinderDomäne offers on top many family activities with highlights, such as the spring festival, harvest festival or the Advent markets, where a wide range of activities are offered for children, such as handicrafts, pony riding, carriage rides or a “Domaine Express” tour. The “Domain Express” is pulled by a tractor over the fields close to the Domain.

In the domain, you can not only celebrate your anniversary, but also your birthday. Also, company events and other occasions can be celebrated here.

During the holidays many programs and workshops are offered. The CULINARIUM presents and convinces with the experience exhibition “From the field to the plate”. Here, children and adults can go on a discovery tour and experience a journey from the life on a farm from 1850 to the present day. A special highlight: the domain Dahlem is not just a manor and a museum, but Germany’s only “farm with subway connection”!
