Second-hand is truly close to my heart, because it spares both your wallet and the environment. For this list, I visited the loveliest second-hand shops for babies and children in Berlin, ranging from cosy to hugely stocked. I hope you discover treasures just as wonderful as I did and enjoy browsing with your little ones!
Trollby has been located on Eisenacher Straße in Schöneberg since 2009, recognizable by its red Swedish-style ticket booth. Over 100 square meters are filled with used equipment for pregnancy, babies, and children, from maternity wear to car seats.
KiKiLa on Schulze-Boysen-Straße has been run by the Kinderhilfe in Lichtenberg association since 2008. Everything on the shelves comes from in-kind donations from the neighborhood: children's clothes, toys, picture books, and balance bikes.
For over a decade, Siebenstern has been located on Florastraße in Pankow, selling new and second-hand goods side by side. Jackets cost between 8 and 18 Euros, trousers between 5 and 8 Euros, and there are also shoes, wooden toys, and books.
FiNDUS on Stargarder Straße is one of the city's oldest children's second-hand shops and is run as a family business. Covering over 80 square meters, it offers clothing up to size 164, as well as shoes, toys, car and bicycle seats.
At Limonadenbaum on Nansenstraße, secondhand and new goods stand side-by-side without one feeling like a compromise. Used items are checked before acceptance, selected for quality and craftsmanship, not quantity.
Purzelbaum in Gutsmuthsstraße has been around since 2003, in a quiet corner off Schloßstraße. Second-hand children's and women's fashion stand side by side, along with toys, picture books, and shoes, and a café awaits next door.
The shop on Wegenerstraße in Wilmersdorf has existed for more than two decades; in addition to children's clothes, it now also offers adult clothing. A special feature is the selection of binders and gaffs from the Finn’s label.
rosenrot kindersecondhand on Eisenbahnstraße offers used clothing for babies, children, and pregnant women in sizes 56 to 146. Additionally, there are children's shoes, baby toys, books, board games, and organic textiles as new items.
Anna och Larson in Gräfekiez offers used children's clothing in sizes 50 to 152 with a focus on woolen items, as well as wooden toys, books, and car seats. The store buys well-preserved children's items directly, without commission.
The shop on Hauptstraße in Friedenau is one of Berlin's longest-standing second-hand children's shops. Here, people usually buy something larger: a stroller, a car seat, or a high chair, along with clothes and toys.
