If you go to the Berlin Dungeon in the Spandauer Straße in Berlin-Mitte, you must have strong nerves and like scary things. Visitors to this historic cabinet of horrors embark on a journey through 800 years of gruesome Berlin stories and the most gruesome highlights of Berlin’s city history. You have to like that. A visit to the Berlin Dungeon is therefore not suitable for children under the age of 10. Children and teenagers up to the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
The creepy effect is particularly intense, as the historical characters are embodied by actors. Received by the court jester, one takes the elevator of horror into the depths. Once you have survived the damaged-looking elevator of doom with grinding gear wheels and rattling chains, you must prepare yourself for the dreaded white lady, the great fire of Berlin in the 14th century and the plagued street, which is filled with the noises and smells of death.
After you have survived the torture chamber, the secret court and the white lady, you have arrived in the 19th century, where you have to escape a serial killer of Berlin and fall into the unknown of the Freefall tower Exitus. The latter, however, is voluntary; those who are not free from vertigo can simply pass by. The scary visit to the Dungeon lasts about 70 minutes.
