At Spargel- und Erlebnishof Klaistow, an asparagus and adventure farm Klaistow, young and old visitors can experience a lot every day from April to December, not only during the asparagus season! Here you can of course feast on the finest Beelitzer asparagus during the asparagus season, but you can also pick strawberries and blueberries yourself, harvest potatoes or visit Berlin-Brandenburg’s largest pumpkin exhibition in autumn. The farm of the Buschmann & Winkelmann families, with its field-fresh vegetables from its own cultivation, the free-range geese and chickens, the adventure playground, the seasonal good cuisine and the numerous events, is a popular destination for excursions at any time of year.
Families with children can enjoy the large playground with bouncy cushions, giant slides and mud track, the meadow with tame goats, the mini jeep course through the terrain and even a climbing forest. Visitors can observe red and fallow deer together with their offspring in the natural game enclosure and go on a discovery tour along the forest nature trail.
Seasonal delicacies are on the menu in the courtyard restaurant with fireplace and sun terrace or the rustic barn kitchen. There is also a Punch and Judy breakfast on the farm on a regular basis, where the children are entertained while the adults enjoy the breakfast buffet in peace and quiet. There is also wood-fired bread and cake in the in-house bakery and homemade ice cream available. In the farm shop and in the decoration barn you can browse for homemade and regional specialities as well as all sorts of beautiful things to give away.
While in spring guests can enjoy regional asparagus in the restaurant in various variations, blueberry picking in the pine forest is a highlight for many families in the summer months from July to September.
In autumn, Berlin-Brandenburg’s largest pumpkin exhibition attracts visitors to Klaistow with over 100.000 pumpkins, huge pumpkin figures, a pumpkin market, pumpkin carving and pumpkin art, before the company’s own outdoor geese in the Hofrestaurant, the international sled dog race and impressive musical fireworks bring the year to a close at the Klaistow asparagus and adventure farm.
