Schloss Gaussig has a somewhat longer journey from Berlin, but it’s worth it. The romantic hotel is situated in a 30-hectare landscape park and invites you on a time travel.
The castle was built around 1700 and was very tastefully renovated in 2008. All rooms and suites are individually furnished and differently designed with antiques and high-quality textiles. Victorian-style canopy beds specially made for the hotel provide sleeping comfort, a wonderful setting for a romantic weekend. Almost all rooms have a view of the beautiful English landscape park.
The small but fine wellness area contributes to relaxation. The modern 500 square metre spa is open only to hotel guests residing in the castle’s 16 stylishly furnished rooms.
Three different saunas, diving pools, ice fountains, adventure showers, two relaxation rooms, rooms for cosmetics and massages and two “endless pools” imported from the USA are offered. Splash showers, a plunge pool or the snow fountain provide refreshment and cooling. The natural swimming lake at the castle can also be used for swimming in summer.
Gastronomically, the castle offers guests a 3-course dinner only in the evening. The castle can be booked exclusively for wedding parties, so that all participants feel like in their own castle.
