Because of its location between the Haussee and the Stolpsee the village is a popular place in summer and beloved destination for cyclists and water sportsman, paddler and tourists who are here to relax and unwind. The beautifully renovated hotel Himmelpfort is almost 100 years old and surrounded by a beautiful, green garden with private access to the stunning Haussee in Brandenburg.
The country house hotel is not very big since it has nine holiday homes and two double rooms, which are often fully booked by regular guests. But with a little bit of luck and advanced booking one can enjoy a relaxing and calming vacation close to the water and with a stunning landscape. The country house also has its own restaurant Michaelis, which started with a new concept in October 2017. If you want to take a small souvenir with you, you can stock up on homemade country house vinaigrette or country house jam for your home.
On the lakeside property, beach chairs and relax shells overlooking the lake provide relaxation. The hotel suites do not have numbers, but lovely sounding names like Oxford or Loire and are designed in a cozy country house style. They have a kitchen so that families can prepare meals together and provide for themselves. In the basement one can enjoy the small sauna that is especially popular on rainy days. During Christmas season the restaurant offers special meals for its guests.
