Europa Experience, the interactive permanent exhibition in the European House at Pariser Platz in Berlin-Mitte is supposed to make Europe comprehensible in 30 minutes. Visitors experience a virtual journey through history, politics and everyday life in the European Union. The free exhibition was jointly launched by the European Parliament and the European Commission to facilitate citizens’ access to the EU – in 30 minutes.
Visitors to the exhibition can immerse themselves in a virtual journey through Europe: on 450 square metres of multimedia, they can discover what the European Union actually is, how it works and how citizens can actively participate in EU policy. You can also browse the life stories of Europeans for whom the EU has become part of everyday life.
In a 360° cinema, you can experience a plenary session of the European Parliament almost as if you were a Member of Parliament yourself. During a 15-minute panorama film, guests immerse themselves in the world of parliamentarians. If you like, you can also take on the role of an MEP or an EU Commissioner and defend the respective interests of the institutions in a fictitious plenary session.
Europa Experience should also be a place where citizens have their say. Anyone can contact his/her MEP directly via the exhibition and inform him/her of his/her concerns by e-mail. Admission to the exhibition is free.
