What makes it special: At Wasserkutsche, you don’t just rent a boat, you become part of a small family of boat builders. Founder Jan has learned his trade all over the world – from New Zealand to Zanzibar – and now builds the boats with his team in a workshop in Kreuzberg. The result? Elegant electric boats with a sun deck, charm and sustainable propulsion. And best of all: you don’t need a license to drive them!

By the way, the starting point of your adventure is centrally located in Berlin-Kreuzberg, right next to the Oberbaumbrücke – perfectly accessible and in the middle of the most beautiful part of the Spree.

There are two categories to choose from: Houseboats for overnight stays and smaller models for day trips. The larger boats such as the “Wasserkutsche” or the “Rossi” offer space for up to 6 people and are perfect for relaxing days (or nights) on the water. If you prefer a more compact boat, book models such as the “Momme” or “Schnabel” – ideal for picnics, swimming stops or the popular morning special.

Speaking of specials: from Monday to Friday there’s the “morning special” with 5 hours of boating at a special price of €190 – even with a delicatessen picnic or charcoal barbecue on board if you wish. Sounds like a vacation? It is.

And if you have any questions in advance, you’ll be well looked after: harbour master Maria knows all the tricks and tips for the region, while quality manager Julia ensures everything runs smoothly – the whole team will take the time to show you the ropes.

Our tip: make sure you book early, especially on sunny weekends. Because once you’ve been on the water coach, you’ll definitely want to get on board again.
