“Paris is always Paris and Berlin is never Berlin!”. Bergmannkiez is a little oasis in the crazy and hectic inner-city world of Kreuzberg. Locals in this suburb hail from all corners of the world, and they all enjoy the cosy and peaceful atmosphere of this ‘kiez’ that reminds just a bit Paris. Unlike other parts of Kreuzberg (such as Oranienstrasse, which attracts tourists and hipsters with cheap food), true gourmets flock to Bergmannkiez [kiez = neighbourhood] attracted by its tasty and cheap restaurants.
