On this jogging trail in Wedding you jog along the eastern shore from Lake Plötzensee up to the Volkspark Rehberge. The park was built between 1926 and 1929 as a national park of the Weimar Republic. Even then, the Volkspark (parks for people) movement created a wide variety of recreational areas such as sports facilities and playgrounds. Next to it there are wooded parts and park areas. This makes the Rehberge Park particularly varied even today.
The park offers joggers flat routes on nice parkways. Sometimes there are considerable ascents that require a lot of strength, for example up to the Rathenaubrunnen, where a large sledge track begins. If one jogs these down, one comes to the animal enclosures lying in the western part, where wild pigs are. In the east of the park (Transvaal- / Afrikanische Straße), it is possible to train oneself with open-air sports equipment made of stainless steel. In the north-eastern part you can run past a small chain of lakes, Lake Möwensee and Entenpfuhl ,to the Rehberge open-air cinema.
The varied course is therefore ideal for sporty runners, but even beginners can get to know their limits here. Drawback: the park is only dimly lit in the late evening or at night.
