The AVENUE club is above all popular with sports stars to have a party. The entire team of FC Barcelona (including Gerard Piqué and his girlfriend Shakira) celebrated their Champion’s League victory here with guests like Basketball star Dirk Nowitzki. Also the team of FC Bayern Munich partied here after winning the DFB Cup Finals at the Berlin Olympic Stadium. Schweini, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller and Arjen Robben really had a big party bash here after the DFB Cup Finals in 2014. With its VIP area of 11 lounges, the club is really suited for such stellar party events – the lounges however can also be booked by Tom, Dick and Harry to really hit the party floor.
Owing to its location just across the street of Kino International on Karl-Marx-Allee, you can expect also celebrities of the movie world during the International Film Festival Berlinale checking out this club.
The guest list apart, also the history and the architecture of the AVENUE are quite interesting. The club is located in the basement of the listed former Café Moskau. This landmark building was constructed in the 1950s as Russian restaurant, In 2007 Nicolas Berggruen had the venue thoroughly refurbished and restaurated. The club’s interior joins history with modern technique and timeless design, developed by the Berlin architect team Karhard. This group has also planned, designed and built the Panorama Bar of the Berghain. The club area of the AVENUE has apart from the dancefloor two modern bars and a separate lounge for smokers.
