Place 10
in Top 10 Irish Pubs with Live Music

Charlottenburg

The Irish Pub The Harp is one of Berlin's oldest, most famous and most beautiful Irish pubs. For all who fancy a broad selection of Irish, German beers and ales, live music, sports and good food – this is the place.

The Harp is a large and beautiful Irish Pub that attracts fans with its sports broadcasts in winter and a large sun terrace on the corner Giesebrechtstraße / Sybelstraße in summer. Not far from Kurfürstendamm you sit surprisingly quiet on comfortable wicker chairs under large green umbrellas and watch the audience, that seems surprisingly little touristy despite its central location in the City West, but rather influenced by expats.

A fair-skinned, freckled girl with green eyes and long hair of intense chestnut color is flirting intensively with a bald guy with horn-rimmed glasses. A group of men with broad shoulders in rugby shirts order Guinness and nachos in English.

The interior is stylish, authentic Irish and cozy with lots of green, red and brass. 2007 the Irish Pub was lovingly restored. Guests are entertained the whole week here. Sports fans watch football, rugby, cricket and other sports on big screens and plasma TVs. At the end of the week on Sundays there is the popular Pub Quiz where you can test your knowledge. On weekends there is live music at The Harp Pub every Friday and Saturday. The spectrum ranges from traditional Irish folk to rock and other classics.

Tip of the Top10 editors: People visiting the pub can leave their cars home. The parking situation is rather difficult but the public transport connection is very good. If you drank a Kilkenny too much, you will therefor still get home safe.
