Murphys Irish Pub is located at Schiffbauerdamm directly on the River Spree and presents the whole range of Irish drinks.

The Murphys at Schiffbauerdamm is virtually located on the corner of Schiffbauerdamm/Friedrichstrasse and is therefore easy to reach from S-Bahn station Friedrichstrasse by foot. The pub is located in a chic corner building that seems modern from the outside. The pub is comfortably furnished and has lots of Irish flair and a nice ambience. Particularly striking is the special ceiling fresco inside the pub.

The Murphys is located right by the river and provides its guests with the opportunity to enjoy an Irish Stout, a Guinness or Irish Red with a nice view on the Spree. As it is typical for an Irish pub you will find a broad selection of long drinks and Whiskeys next to the Irish beers on the menu. When it is cold outside an Irish coffee, optionally a Bailey’s Irish Cream coffee, ensures a higher body temperature.

Typical for a pub the selection of food is rather clear. They offer little snacks along with the beer, but the homemade Irish stew is tasty and delicious and with less than seven euros reasonably priced for the area around Schiffbauerdamm. For those being hungry there is also a rump steak on the menu or even sandwiches and nachos as they are found in many pubs now.

The Murphys opens relatively early, but the lunch and early afternoon hours are rather quiet. Anyone who wants to get the real Irish pub feeling should turn up later in the evening, especially when sports events like football or rugby are shown on a large screen. Friends of the boozy singing will come at their expense when they have karaoke on Thursdays.
