With its location in Mitte, the Coven, just like the Sharon Stonewall Bar, leaves a mark against the traditional LGBT neighbourhoods such as Schöneberg for example.
While the old bar was decked out in pink and white, the Coven has done away with anything plushy and has opted for a Mitte-like recuded elegant chic with dark, masculine colours and metal cages on the walls.
Also the lighting inside is somewhat reduced, you could say in the style of a poshed-up basement light. The Coven aspires to be much more than a gay bar only, the venue is geared towards all open-minded Mitte people looking for a fun evening.
