The Roses is located in Kreuzberg and you can call it without any fail the home of hokum. This starts with the walls lined with pink plush and ends with an unfathomably big collection of Mother Mary’s in figures, photos and paintings – its style is so different from all the other uber-stylish LGBT bars and clubs of Berlin.
However, this concept seems to work, because it brings in people from late at night till the early morning. The Roses has long enjoyed its fame as legengary gay bar but the crowd has changed over the last couple of years. It has lost somewhat the favour of the LGBT community, this shortage however is compensated by tourists from all over the world dropping in with curious eyes. The later it gets, the more difficult it is to get a drink at the small bar.
However, this does not cool down the party mood here: the party rages on till sunrise!
