It is kind of hard to keep with the constant changing names and locations of the former legendary Bar25 – above all if you are from out of town and only come every now and then for partying.
After the original bar had to leave the premises at Holzmarktstraße 25, summer 2011 saw the opening of Kater Holzig on the opposite bank of the Spree in an old soap factory. In the meantime the club has returned with the name “KaterBlau” to the original site and has been hosting its Saturday-Sunday-Monday parties with confetti rain.
This location seems to be a long-term solution now, since the land was rented to the Holzmarkt Community, a group of like-minded people who want to develop the area into a creative village of artists with shops and homes for university students. Next to “KaterBlau”, Fame Restaurant, and the public beach bar Pampa on the Spree promenade or the urban gardening project Mörchenpark have established their roots and gained their following.
