The Berlin concert agency Trinity Music hosts every summer in the old walls of Zitadelle Spandau a number of open air concerts under the label “Citadel Music Festivals”. Each year the Trinity Music agency organises the beloved Citadel Music festival in Spandau.
In 2019, the beautiful summer festival was again able to attract many very different artists, musicians and performers. In addition to the full-blooded live band Smashing Pumpkins, ZZ Top, which are well-known for their beards, blues and boogie, King Crimson, Def Leppard, the legendary US band Toto and the German band Feine Sahne Fischfilet, classical music is also part of the program. Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” will be performed this year at the Zitadelle, presented by star violinist Daniel Hope and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra.
The Zitadelle Spandau is one of the best maintained fortresses of the renaissance in Europe. The Juliusturm is a famous landmark of the district Spandau and the Zitadelle also owns its own museum and many different galleries.
