The English word Jamboree means “excessive celebration” or simply “party”. The bar of the same name is centrally located on Marlene-Dietrich-Platz and belongs to the 5 star Grand Hyatt Hotel Berlin. The peculiarity of this bar: Here the 80s come alive again. Cozy living room atmosphere meets urban flair. Both, the interior design with gray concrete walls, contemporary art on the walls and vintage furniture from reclaimed individual pieces from the flea market cite the ’80s as well as the music of the performing artists.
Of course, the cocktails and the bar offer fit thematically with the colorful 80s. With references to yuppies, poppers and punks from the time Felix Borchers gives his cocktails in Jamboree a new twist. “King-Royal” is a reinterpretation of the famous “Kir-Royal”. The “Golden Colada” also comes in a modern interpretation with guava, cinnamon, coconut and cachaca and is served in a golden pineapple. Another cocktail that quotes this decade is the “Blueberry Hill” with patchouli, rum, champagne and blueberry sorbet.
Weekly there is live music and every Thursday there are fine wines from various winemakers. Everyone is welcome in the bar, whether for dancing or a kicker tournament. Conclusion: If you like the eighties, you cannot miss the Jambooree Bar.
