CLOSED! Sanatorium 23 is a lounge bar with mostly red and white elements in style of a hospital. You can sit on cubic shaped stools or lounge in big daybeds. With the help of transparent plastic curtains you can even get some more privacy. Along with some cool drinks you can enjoy the atmosphere and the DJs at their turntables. Located directly in Frankfurter Allee you can sip on your cocktails inside or outside at the patio.
The shift in the ER begins at 9:00 pm as soon as the DJs work the system with electronic music thus propagating the curative powers of dance. And if you are bed-ridden why not chill out on their white lounge chairs?
A truly inventive detail: the cocktail card looks like the periodic table of elements – so “Al” doesn’t stand for aluminium but for Alster and “Li” does not correspond to lithium but Long Island Ice Tea.
On Tuesdays the bar invites all DJs or wannabe DJs to the open deck day to try their best at the decks, and every now and then unknown artists can use the walls of Sanatorium 23 for their exhibitions.
Additionally the bar also has two apartments with each 2-3 rooms you can rent for a stay in the capital of Germany.
