Schlosspark Theater has evolved into one of Berlin’s theatres of most renown, largely due to the efforts of Dieter Hallervorden. The cabaret artist and actor took over the reigns of this traditional yet bancrupt theatre in 2008 and put in a lot of work and money to keep it going.
The effort has paid off! A normal playing season sees about 100.000 people attending the entertaining productions (no nonsense plays) at Schlosspark Theater, in many of which Hallervorden himself plays a role. Also other well-known faces hit the stage there on his invitation, so Jürgen Tarrach and Oliver Mommsen played in “The King’s Speech” for example. Other famous names include Desirée Nick, Wigald Boning or Mariella Ahrens.
