The company Matthies Fleisch- und Feinkost (meat and delicatessen) in Berlin-Reinickendorf became famous for the Berlin speciality Kasseler. Since 1972, the family business has also settled in Berlin, where it produces the popular meat speciality and smokes it in beech smoke. The lean pork is then available as Kassel cutlet, neck or back. What very few people know is that Kasseler is well suited for a conscious diet, as it contains little fat and cholesterol and can be used in many ways.
Matthies Fleisch- und Feinkost sells chops, knuckle of pork or roast pieces at the factory outlet. Many Berliners also like to stock up on barbecue meat during the barbecue season at the factory outlet. The juicy ham is also ideal as a pizza topping. The meat is also suitable for soups, broths or sauces.
