Tops and blouses in soft yellow, T-shirts and longsleved tops in comic-print and close-fitting trousers sorted by colour: Sing Blackbird in Sanderstraße in Berlin-Neukölln presents handpicked vintage and second hand fashion with that certain something.
The shop is well frequented. Trendy young women browse through the dresses and representatives of the male sex are also looking for fancy clothes. Three bright, whitewashed, rather minimalist rooms present well-preserved vintage clothing from the 90s and around the 2000s. The fragrant garments are sorted by trousers, dresses and tops and also by colours. The range includes both plain-coloured clothes and unusual prints with wild patterns, as we know them from the seventies, and particularly eye-catching, colourful comic prints.
Some clothing articles are not sold in their original form, but with modifications, these garments are labelled “altered”. Vintage parts are not specially marked.
Also chic bodysuits made of tight-fitting, partly transparent materials in a Nineties look are presented at Sing Blackbird. Shoes can also be bought here. The range extends from bright red sneakers to various pumps and patent leather boots. Even the rubber sandals (“Jelly Sandals”) from the nineties celebrate a little revival here.
In addition to all the vintage looks, Sing Blackbird also offers basics such as black fabric pants and simple tops of an almost classic elegance at affordable prices that don’t necessarily look like second hand or vintage, but are perfectly suitable to wear at work.
