Kiezsauna is located close to the train station Frakfurter Tor in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The sauna complex has two saunas as well as a steam bath and is somewhat hidden. Located in an old basement you can find the little spa via the entry at Hildegard-Jadamowitz-Straße. Once you enter the premises of Kiezsauna it’s likely that the only thing that somewhat reminds you of a basement are the clean tiles on the walls. Other than that the space has huge windows in the ceiling that brighten up the whole area. Also; bright floor tiles and clean furnishings add to the friendly atmosphere.
At the Finnish sauna you get aromatic infusions every hour. Meanwhile the Bio-Sauna scores with lower temperatures, changing colored light and relaxing sounds. There is also a steam bath to get your sweat on. With a heated bench and foot baths you can enjoy some relaxing moments in-between. If you want to you can also book a massage.
The relaxation room at Kiezsauna is rather clean, but the sauna garden outside is pretty nice and offers sunbeds to rest on. A solar panel provides shade during the warmer season or protect you from rain when the weather is not too good.
At a small bar you can order hot and cold drinks for refreshments, even though you won’t get any snacks or other food.
Top10 Berlin tip: Saturday is Family Day at Kiezsauna. Until 07:00 pm each adult can bring two kids (up to 12 years) for free.
